This gallery includes pictures from our trip to Tokyo, Japan in July 2017. It shows many locations surrounding Tokyo including Mt Fuji and Hakone National Park as well as several of the districts of Tokyo. The Imperial Palace was walking distance from our hotel. The Four Seasons was attached to Tokyo Station allowing easy travel and great shopping. There were easily 100 restaurants in Tokyo Station. Some of my favorite are under the tracks in small tubes outside. We traveled by rail to several areas including Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Asakusa. We started with sushi for breakfast in Tsukiji before taking a bus trip to Mt Fuji and Hakone NP. A quick ride on the JR Shinkansen bullet train brought us back to Tokyo Station for dinner. We went shopping in Shibuya and climbed skyscrapers in Shinjuku. The Tokyo Skytree was the tallest structure on the trip. We started most days with breakfast at the Four Seasons as we watched the trains arriving below at Tokyo Station. A fast ride on the Shinkansen took us to Kyoto for our next destination.
