This gallery is a collection of black & white pictures that I have gathered since 2012. B&W allows me to concentrate on texture, lighting, mood, and composition. I no longer shoot film but I still love the increased grain that often occurs with darker subjects. Poor visibility is sometimes a plus because it gives texture to the background very much like photographing in the rain. In addition, many of the hard corals have wonderful details that can be missed in color photography. I created this gallery after editting extremely colorful pictures from Fiji. I added a little color back to some of the photos just for fun.
