We traveled back to Brooklyn for Christmas this year. We were lucky to find a great place on Remson street a half of a block from the promenade. Each morning we walked to new restaurant for breakfast. Our favorites included Friend of a Farmer in Brooklyn Heights and The Osprey at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. The lights in Downtown Brooklyn were great this year as we walked to 5th avenue and BK9. We went Christmas shopping along Atlantic Avenue and stopped by a few Syrian stores to find some exotic gifts. The Brooklyn Nets were in town and easily defeated the Washington Wizards at the Barclays Center.

The next day we traveled across the East River to visit Manhattan. A quick subway ride brought us to Lower Manhattan where we visited the Oculus mall and had lunch at Eataly. Afterwards, we stopped at the bookstore at NYU for Lisa to buy a sweatshirt and some books. The subway brought us back to Brooklyn and we walked along Atlantic avenue in the evening to window shop.

Eloise celebrated her third birthday with the family in New Rochelle. The kids were surprised by Santa and his helper. It seems Michael and Lisa are getting a little too heavy to sit on Santa's lap. It was great to see everyone at the party. I'm sorry I missed the New Year's party in Patterson.
